In this matchup, Dream Theater takes on Vanden Plas: two of my favorite progressive metal bands. Vanden Plas is not as widely known as Dream Theater but everyone I’ve introduced them to has fallen for them. I hope those of you who have not heard of them find them worthy. Enjoy!

When I was in elementary school I wore out my vinyl copy of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and that started me off on this musical journey. Along came Genesis, and I was hooked! Along the way, I developed an appreciation for Saga, Yes, and many others. This site is a labor of love as I stumble across new music in the genre, as well as reminisce about the bands whose music I turn to time and again...and always discover something new. All for one and one for the vine!

Unbelievable selection and wide variety in your mixes made me to write directly to you. All stuff you posting is phenomenal, real treasures, pure joy of music.
I’m a painter (decorative finisher) and my days at work are like never ending wonderful dream, since I start (by accident) listening to one of your mixes few weeks ago. (Thanks you tube)
Now , I did have chance to hear all of them (I believe) and would like to say ” thank you” for your time to created this, shareing endless knowledge of creative music with others like me.
